Spring is Arriving at Small Concept!

February 11th, 2012 by Julie Campbell No Comments

Small Concept has been busy since the holidays as we organize the warehouse, prepare for new arrivals, shop for the next season, and beef up the website. It’s been great reconnecting with old customers and meeting new ones!

As you know, we’ve had some new additions to the site, including maternity. Even better, the Lilac Maternity Fall Collection is now 20% off!  Olian and Cotton Glam Maternity Spring Collections are also arriving, and some items are already available on the Small Concept site!  It’s so great to find comfortable maternity clothes that you can continue to wear long after your baby arrives. You really must check out the great styles…the fabrics are so touchable!

We’re also adding a wonderful item: cloth diapers! Everyone wants to do their part to help the environment, and this is definitely a great way to do just that! Consider this: your baby will go through an astonishing 6,000 diaper changes from birth to potty-training. Disposable diapers and wipes add up to a whopping average of $2,500. However, by purchasing cloth diapers and wipes, your family can actually save up to $2000! Translating this savings into earnings, one can assume you will spend a total of 115 hours laundering your reusable diapers. In this scenario, you will actually earn in savings an hourly wage of $15 an hour in the time spent laundering your baby’s reusable diapers! Pretty amazing, right?

So, we have the mothers-to-be and babies covered, but there’s much more. We’ve received our first delivery from Tea Collection, and it’s flying off the shelves!  The second spring delivery is on the way, Appaman’s spring order should start arriving after February 15th. The colors are so perfect for the spring. Hannah Banana, Little Mass and Biscotti deliveries have started arriving, featuring great dresses and swimwear for the girls. Wes and Willy swimwear for the boys are here as well- the designs are great along with the graphic tee-shirts.

Talk about color! Have you seen the bright colors from Wonderboy and Stun? When we opened the boxes, the clothing brightened the whole room! Love, love the colors. Also, Peaches N’ Cream is a new line to Small Concept (but a familiar line to many of us), and one of the oldest children’s clothing lines around. You’ll adore their classic collections with a twist. Several outfits are reversible, which gives you two outfits for the price of one!

Last but certainly not least, the gear and accessory section of the site is beginning to fill up with items from Oxo Tot, Itzy Ritzy, Ah Goo Baby and Baby K’Tan. Remember, Small Concept is linked to myregistry.com, offering you a way to create gift registries for baby showers, birthdays, and more. Be sure to take advantage!

I’m hoping that this blog post finds each of you happily preparing for your Valentine’s Day festivities. I can remember helping my children gather their favorite cards to give to their friends each year on that day. And how can we forget the wonderful chocolates and other candies given as gifts? This will be a memorable Valentine’s Day for me for sure. Small Concept wishes all of you the love you deserve from your favorite Valentine!

Remember- as always, we’d love to hear from you!

Happy New Year from Small Concept!

Happy New Year! Small Concept ended 2011 with a bang:  we launched our new site, added maternity clothing lines, and even welcomed a new member to our family! I’m thrilled to announce that I have another grandson! So exciting. I’m sure that you’ll see plenty of pictures of him in the months and years to come. The year of 2011 brought so much uncertainty; and even though some things didn’t go according to plan, it did end with beautifully with a sweet smile from my little grandson, Lucas!

Each year, January summons talk about resolutions. So what was your resolution for the year? At Small Concept, we resolved to continue to offer each of you quality products with great customer service. The holidays are behind us, so it’s time to buckle down and get the family organized. You can start off by digging into your closets and removing clothing that your children have outgrown. Do you donate this clothing, save it for another family member, or sell it? Here in Atlanta, there are many opportunities to reuse these outgrown clothes – including local consignment sales, Good Will donations, Family Promise donations, and more. Remember, there are still some cold months ahead (even in the south) and the homeless can use backpacks, sweaters and jackets to get through these months. Have you considered any of these? We’d love to hear your ideas and thoughts!

Until next time, please continue to check back to the site as we continue to add products for the Spring!

The Small Concept website is up and running! Have you seen the videos of the new P’Kolino toys? Order soon to make sure they are under the tree on Christmas morning!
New inventory is being added to the store every day. For the new moms and moms-to-be, be sure to peruse the Lilac Maternity and Magnificent Baby lines. The beautiful items from Lilac Maternity can be worn in any trimester and even beyond the pregnancy months. Magnificent Baby will impress you with its style and magnetic closures – a lifesaver for late night diaper changes!
For our bigger boys, Alpha Industries has some stylish coats and “twofers” – one piece layered tops – to get you through the winter months. Tom & Drew, “a clothing line that lets boys be boys…in style!” is also being added to Small Concept’s great selection of children’s clothing.
In other news, we are making room for all of this new inventory by slashing prices on existing pieces. Check out our Sale section to find some great deals.
We sincerely appreciate all of the wonderful responses to our email announcement. If you haven’t already, please visit our Facebook and Twitter accounts to stay up to date with our latest styles and announcements!
I visit Small Concept to buy clothes for my 5-year-old and my 6-month-old. Whenever they're dressed in Small Concept I get so many compliments! It's also a great source for baby shower and birthday gifts. – Anne D., NY
